My Rear door shows open in dashboard light

My dad gave me his 2004 4runner that he had an accident with. He was rear ended so i went and got repaired. The problem is on the dashboard the door ajar signal is always on which also prevents me from locking my doors with the wireless key fob. I would like to take of the rear end panel and make a short on the back wires thereby bypassing the back door on the thread of doors and even when the back door will be open it will still show closed because the switch is bypassed so what i need help is with how to remove that panel. If anyone can please help i would greatly appreciate it. Secondly if anyone would know which wires to short that would also be helpfull but i think that i'll be able to figure out once i get that panel thanks a lot everyone

I have a 1991 4 Runner - when my "door open" lights up on the dash it is because the lever on to open the spare tire (I have a spare tire on the rear outside door) appears to be close but isn't so I need to pull the lever out and make sure it is completly latch.

I have an 04 so it doesnt have a back tire on it
