My TRD Pro Lift

I wanted to pass along a BIG thank you to the forum members. I have been monitoring the site soaking up all the knowledge and experience concerning the 4Runner. I have a 2019 Voodoo Blue TRD PRO and have been struggling on what to do regarding lifting it. I did not want to burn $5700, quote I got from a 4wheel shop here locally, to add a ICON Stage 5 suspension to get my desired look. Not off roading this 4Runner right now. I have 2007 Voodoo FJ for that.

I have been following the threads about Burtman Industries for awhile and due to everyone’s overwhelming positive experience and happiness with the outcome, I pulled the trigger and purchased 3/2, UCA, DIFF drop, and Sprint Boost set up. I was AMAZED by Jason’s availability to talk with me. I texted him on a Sunday night at 2200 hours! He responded almost immediately and asked if he could call me! What the hell? What vendor does that? It’s Sunday night! We talked for about 20 mins. I have continued to text him all week, boarder line harassment on my part, and he continues to work with me and answer all my questions.

The plan is to drive up to PA, I live in Maryland, and have a shop he works with to install the lift. Can not wait! More to come.

Are there any warranty concerns doing this to our vehicles? I am sure there is, but wondering f anyone has had issues with the dealer yet. Thanks in advance.

I have 285s Nitto Grapplers on now with a 1 inch 88 Rotors spacers. I want more lift with the option to go to 295s in the future.

TRD PRO 19 Did you do an actual 3/2 or 2/1 lift? Your description at the top says 3/2 but in your vehicle description at the bottom says 2/1. I am doing a 3/2 with 285s wondering if that will look ok. Your set up looks great.

I have 2/1.5 and I’ve seen 2.5/2. But I have yet to see 3/2 [emoji2957]

Hey, just wanted to pass along some feedback concerning Burtman Industries and Jason. Awesome experience! Jason talked me through some ideas and helped me pick the best set up. I am extremely pleased how my 4Runner turned out. I went with a 3/2 lift, SPC UCA, diff drop, 285s, and Sprint Boost. Wow, it looks awesome.

i'm just wondering at what point will the CF spacers be to large which will damage the shock? i believe these trd bilsteins and fox shocks can only handle a certain height shock or spacer. so is 3/2 the largest so far?

For the pro you don’t want more than 2” over where it is now up front. That brings you to 3” over a stock SR5 which really maxes out angles on control arms and Cv shafts. 2” in the back has been done but with really no solid testing system is so new. For a top hat spacer up front, 3/8” thick for 3/4” lift is max before risking shock damage. Same goes for the Bilstein Pro shocks. People don’t follow these guidelines, we all know that, doesn’t make it a good idea though.

Get ready for horrible ride quality with a 3/2 spacer lift.
I did a 2/1.5 on my 2019 and it got rid of most of the body roll and nose dive while still being compliant off road.

Yep, 3/2 under a Pro is a bad idea. I'm a dealer for Cornfed and I would not sell my customer that kit because I know what's going to happen. 2/1 or 2/1.5 is the ideal kit and best seller.

Also wanted to add that I’ve traded in my 19 in Voodoo Blue for a 20 in Army Green.
I ordered a 2/1.5 kit directly from David [MENTION=7943]Cornfed[/MENTION] and saved a bunch off of other websites.
The 20 with the revalved shocks ended up being a little stiffer, but it’s still livable.

I ordered a 2/1.5 kit directly from David [MENTION=7943]Cornfed[/MENTION] and saved a bunch off of other websites.
The 20 with the revalved shocks ended up being a little stiffer, but it’s still livable.

Both look awesome! I love the new AG Pro One of the very few Pro specific colors I have ever liked. For pricing, some sites are better than others. I price everything to match Dave and sometimes run my own promo here and there.

That’s why I went with a 2/1.5. One day I’ll get a 3” adjustable lift. Until then I’m happy with what I got.

You don't need spring compressors and actually they are very dangerous and not at all designed for a coil over. They are made to be used on standard springs. Use the "no spring compressor method" works great and much safer. 295s will fit fine, I have them under mine also. That is as long as you run the correct wheels. As far as the RG goes, worst tires I have ever had. Absolutely horrible in rain, it was like driving on ice. I removed them after maybe 5000-6000 miles and sold them.

Went with the 2/1.5 Cornfed Spacer kit on my 2015 TRD PRO suspension. Couldn’t be more pleased with the look and ride quality.
