Just finished my 2.5"/2" Burtman kit yesterday. Thanks Jason!
The front was a piece of cake, but the Autozone spring compressors do not work. They are too chunky and will rub too much on the shock body. I took off the complete shock assembly and brought them to Kwik Kar and had them compress the spring and stick the spacer in there for $57. The only difficulty I had in the front was lining up the skid plate with diff drop spacers (my Pro has a diff drop from the factory, surprisingly). The rest of the front is very, very easy. I did not even disconnect the sway bar as some people mentioned is required.
The rear was a little more of a pain bc of how big the spacer was. I followed instructions, but could not fit the spring back it its place. So, I put the spare tire bottle jack on top of the axle below the frame bump stop with a 2x6 between the axle and the jack and lifted against the frame bump stop to get the extra articulation to squeeze the spacer and spring in there. Worked like a charm. After that, bolting the sway bar back on took some muscle but for the most part the whole install wasn't bad.
Took maybe 4 hours with me taking my time, including putting all 4 wheels back on using a torque wrench and spending a lot of time searching for correct tools etc.
The ride is without a doubt stiffer. Not quite uncomfortable, but not your typical squishy TRD Pro ride quality.
Just had it aligned this morning with no issues whatsoever.
The truck measures about 38 3/4" from the ground to the wheel well arch and about 39.5" in the rear.
