My version of the Satoshi Grill Mod for '16 T4RP

Saw some do the mod for 10-13 4Runners but haven't really seen any 14-17 do this so thought I'd share. Test installed the vintage Land Cruiser 'TOYOTA' to my 2016 T4RP. Got the OEM emblem from eBay for $45. Installed it using a 3" mending brace that has holes and comes with screws so no drilling required. You can get the brace from any Home Depot or lowe's. There is a raised mounting point on the back of the emblem you can screw into for a positive mount and theft resistance. I also used zip ties at the ends as this is just for test fitment and to decide if I even like this mod. I'll use double sided 3M tape for a more permanent mount should I decide I want to keep it.

Ok, lemme clarify, 14-17 non-Pros with aftermarket bumpers. Or those limited to the space below the stock grill bar.

Personally I'm not a fan. Either have the Toyota emblem, or have the Toyota 'lettering' but not both.

Pick one or the other.

It is crooked a lil bit because there's a bump behind the A of the emblem that I would grind off if I decide to keep it on.

Looks OK, but personally I'd reserve that space for a light bar.

While I personally prefer the TOYOTA logo to the sombrero, both is too much.

I wonder how that would look if you took the sombrero off and put the TOYOTA in the upper grille?

What's on the bottom side of your fairing? Looks like a door edge guard, but longer.

Looks good, but it is crooked.

What's on the bottom side of your fairing? Looks like a door edge guard, but longer.

It's an edge guard that gobi includes so it doesn't rub metal to metal.
