So how do you think they would compare to LED's? all my lights are leds except fore the low beams.

There are hundreds of posts on the forum about how crappy LEDs are in projector housings. Lots of science behind it if you search. They look good to you but they blind on coming traffic. Don’t do it.

Okay so here is the situation. The low beam bulbs are the only ones I need to change. I have leds in the fogs that I had in the low beams and when one low went out I bought the same bulbs and thats when I started having issues. so I might take out the fog bulbs since I know they are the old style ones, and but new fog lights that can fit on a coastal Offroad bumper and in the stock bumper. I really dont want to start buying new lows highs and fogs so thewy all match I would think that leds and Halogen would look funny.

Crappy LEDs are a scourge and the second worst mod after Raptor lights.
I have no clue what I am reading when I look at the post. and the halogen pics don't look that bright and crisp they look dull. I might try it to see what they look like but I don't want to put dull headlights in the 4 Runner thats the weak point of this suv the lights look like crap.

The charts show temps and throw. Led doesnt project far. Also as explained in that thread, photos dont do it justice when it comes to temps and brightness

Well you do you but I wouldn’t worry so much about how it looks compared to the quality of light output on the road. Fogs shouldn’t be on during normal driving conditions anyways. They are blinding especially with leds.
Only place I bought leds for was my reverse lamps (scorchingly bright), plate lights, and interior lights.
Up front I have oem fogs (bright enough for what they are used for), oem highbeams (Plenty bright), then my waaay overkill HID’s for low beams. Don’t worry about how it looks worry about safety and proper light output for the appropriate light.
Way too many people out here are running with light bars on, fogs on, and leds in places they don’t belong and I literally want to go full goat ****er and VBIED my truck into them at 90mph.

I run the H11 LED Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0 in my low beams. No modifications needed to run them, plug em' in and tuck everything in behind the cap. This was the first mod I did to my 4runner. I live out in an area with no street lights and up in the hills, so plenty dark out here.They provided lots of light without blinding oncoming drivers.

Love it when people ignore the whole thread and post anyways.
You are blinding people with leds in halogen projectors. But, you do you.
My OEM lights look dim and dull. I shouldnt have to turn on my fog lights to see at night because thre low beams arent doing anything. I don't care about looks I want brightness so I can see whats infront of me and more than 2 car lengths in front of me. If there are some brighter halogens I will go with those but when I had the leds in the low because no one ever said I blinded them. that's why I wanted leds again.Where I live it gets dark and I mean dark with all the trees there is no moon light and there are pretty much no street lights anywhere in this area because of sea turtles. Just give me something so I can see.

It’s a very long technical read. Look at the end of the OP, here’s the gist of the H9 bulb vs the GE+130 bulb:
“Even these Hella H9s have a hard time beating out the GE bulbs in peak intensity. However, if measuring outside of the hot spot, the H9s really start to excel. What is a bit misleading in photos is color. The photo below looks like the GEs on the right are far brighter due to the whiter color temp, but in person and by measurement that is not the case. Also spacing a measurement 12" off the hotspot places the Hellas 20% higher in output than the GEs, meaning that the Hellas are almost identical to peak hotspot intensity output while providing a fuller uniform light pattern outside the hotspot.
This was so close that even with professional grade lighting equipment I really had a hard time determining which was best. These bulbs were impressive.”
So, you’d be in good shape with either the GE+130 or the H9s. Realize that the photos are not a great representation of what you actually see at night.
BTW, he tested the Hella H9s. You may have to search around for those. The Philips H9s are readily available on Amazon.

Thanks I found the newer version of the phillips or GE bulb. But I would hate to have to change out my High beams and fogs also and then have something that doesn't light up the road. I know the pictures don't do it justice because the 1st pic the 2 bulbs look exactly the same. I just don't want to modify light bulbs either because I don't want to over cut something and have to buy more bulbs. I just wish they came from the factory with bright head lights.
