Mysterious cylinder 2 misfire

So I was driving and my 1996 3.4 started jerking and shaking, drove it home and it was a fuel injector...here where it gets weird ...got all new injectors ,new plugs ,new wires ,all new gaskets ,and the coil packs are fine and it holds compression...after changing all those things it still misfires in cylinder 2 WHEN it reaches normal operating temperature... what do y’all think it is and thank you for the reply’s

I know nobody is reading this but The misfire moved from 2 to 4 and I put a new coil pack (just one for now ) and it ran the same so I drove it down the road and it went away drove great then 5 min later it came back same thing ...sooo frigin annoying and expensive

So it wasn't a fuel injector since it didn't fix it Or did you mean that something changed after all the parts were installed? 90% of car repairs take 10% of your time. 10% of cars take 90% of your time. This may be a 10%er

Just saw your 2nd post. MAF sensor? Cylinder running lean for various reasons. Not well versed on the 3.4 yet but will be soon enough

Is there any vacuum lines connected to the intake runner on cyl 2? A tvs can apply vacuum when it warms up thereby creating a vacuum leak on cyl 2. Whether it would be enough to cause a misfire would be the next question

No it started in 2 then jump to 4 and now it’s staying in 4

Not really sure but I’ve checked and have gotten all my vacuum lines checked and everything is working except that cylinder so far nobody knows what’s going on I’m taking it to another mechanic to see what they think ..after that I’ll try to find a computer then a motor

Its possible that cylinder 4 coil pack is bad. I would swap coil pack and see if the misfire follow.

I bought all new coil packs and I also switch those around too

Well I got news ...exhaust valve is shot so looks like new motor

Suck man at least you finally found out what the problem is.

I suggest you rent a Compression Tester gauge, I did performed one myself yesterday it was very interesting.

Used Toyota cylinders v6 should be in between of 160-180 psi
