Name the puppy

I'm getting a puppy this Friday and am having a tough time coming up with a name. I want something unique and original, and of course, fitting for the dog.

She is an almost three month old German Shepherd (hopefully purebred). I only met with her and her foster family once before deciding to adopt her. Supposedly she is a strong willed little puppy! She seems very intelligent and mellow, at least for a puppy. Of course, I expect some of this to change once she's in my house and whatnot. Maybe a name will come to me then, but I'd like to have some in mind.

Anyone have any good dog names in mind? Or, what did you name your dog? So far, I'm considering only two, Desmo (Ducati thing), or Turbo. Car/Truck/Bike related suggestions would be great

Gibson - for our mufflers
Konig - for our wheels


I know these are all company names. But I know some that are used for dogs too.

She's adorable! I work with German Shepherd rescue and she looks pretty pure to me. I like the names Sabre, Sierra, Kora, Raven, Addie, Jade, Kiera.

That's awesome! Too bad you're so far away, my family is always looking to give rescue GSD's a new home! I hope she's pure but only time will tell.


Thanks for all the suggestions, I really like Sierra, Colt and Konig so far. Gibson would be cool too but maybe better suited for a male. Now that I have some ideas I just gotta wait until Friday and see which one seems to suit her!

Sad thing is that the GSD one of the top dog breed to fill rescue so there are many around that need a good home. Your girl is precious, congrats and good luck on the name!

My girl is named Kendra....has always seemed to fit female shepherds.

Mallory, Maddox, Cinder, Sabot, Panzer, Sierra, Felony, Addison, Pheonix, Morgan, Laika

Sidekick, sideswipe, "Spotter" R-DIFF(Just as it's read, " Arr Diff") OR... You could go with a unique name like "Lealta" a feminine gender noun for the word Loyal or loyalty. In Italian that is

My dogs name is Sadie - she also answers to porkchop. Sable, Molly, Betsy and Luca, are a few more names that come to mind when I see a sheperd.

Lots of good names in here, I should have checked again before picking!

We're still unsure but right now we're calling her Konig, but I do like Kona now that I see it. We still like Desmo (Ducati) a lot, so it may get changed. Tough decisions!

It's been a little over a week or so and she's a HANDFUL although a great dog. We just gotta get the housebreaking thing down, and I'll be happy.

Great looking pup! I like Kona, but Desmo is definitely more unique. My dog's name is Baker. Named after Mt. Baker which was my home away from home in college.
