Trading a fully-loaded 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport for a 2016 4Runner Ltd in Nautical Blue.

What is the recommendation as far as running boards? Do I want them?

It is difficult to tell you if you want them or not.

Mine came with them, I was going to get rid of them, but found they are used more than it seemed, so I kept them. If I was going to do some serious off-roading, I would get those slider things.

I like the factory ones, they do not hang way down and sits good with the body lines.

Edit- Lol, I jsut noticed you are getting a limited, I think those have those retractable running boards? So just ignore my post.

I know it is a "pearl", but does the blue have a shine to it like the metallics?

I have a flat black Taco and it scratches when I breath on it. All previous cars (Acuras and MBs) were metallic and much better at hiding imperfections.

Got my license in '94. Inherited my father's '88 4Runner as my first car. Been in love ever since.

Been a creeper on this site for a year now. Finally pulled the trigger and picked up one of my own.

Production Date 06/17/16.
Took delivery 07/28/16.

You are right, I went to Koons Toyota in Northern VA to pick it up. They were 3k cheaper than all the dealers in NJ AND they had the exact color package I wanted. Rented a car and drove down.

Here's our new Limited at the tint shop just after it was tinted.

Anyone else with a blue limited have any suggestion on sliders? I like the metal techs and the nerf bars by my wife doesn't think they'll go with the chrome.

I personally would like to cover all the "chrome" but it's her truck (for now).

Love the truck, and the Limited is what I'm looking at right now...I had the salesperson tell me that a Limited with the FT 4wd is NOT a good rockcrawler or great with a lift and larger tires. I honestly have no clue. Salespeople can be wrong, so I am not sure if I should go with the Limited with all the goodies or a Trail Premium with less gear. Suggestions?

Last year at Arches National Park in Utah. Bone stock and no problems going on unmaintained roads. EDIT except for the tires...

Wrong thread, but can't start my own yet.

Just got a blue Limited and noticed my roof molding (in front of crossbars) is raising up. Appears only a single piece of double sided tape and a half inch notch are holding it in place.

Anyone else have loose molding? Is there a way to lock the trim in place? It's grooved like it should lock down, but I can't see anything on the roof to affix it to.

My new Trail had the same problem. Actually, the water pressure from the car wash blew it almost completely off. I didn't notice it hanging there until I started to drive down the road and heard something slapping against the window.

I took it to the dealer and they ordered a new one and replaced it. I 'think' what they do is use an adhesive instead of the tape on the new one.

They said it was common with the 4R and Rav4.
