Not many of us with this color. I like that! have my sliders on, comms in. suspension, more amour, and RTT left on my current build list.

Still undecided on what color I want. How's this color stand up with car wash brushes? Love this color on 4runner but not wanting a swirl mark magnet!

Simple solution - don't ever take your rig through a car wash with brushes. I used to work as a detailer, and nothing is worse for your paint/clearcoat than a spinning nylon brush full of dirt and grime.

I decided to plastidip my front and rear Toyota logos today (until my Pro Grille cover gets here next week).

Incredibly happy with how the back came out since I only wanted to do the T logo and not the 4Runner part. I'm sure others have done it, but I haven't seen any on here.

Had it a little over a month. Can't wait to get it off-road and really use 4WD. Only mod since the pics were taken was front window tint. Running boards are on the way and at some point will probably do the Bilstein 5100s with 1" spacers in the rear to level and provide a mild lift.

Its the ones that came with it when I bought it. The window sticker says they are rock sliders with removable steps. Not sure id call them that, but I like them. It was part of the off-road upgrade package.

Heck yes! We found out about Surfrider when we volunteered in HI for a beach clean up while on vacation. As it turns out, most coastal states have Surfrider chapters!

I figured it'd be the best way to advertise for them and pitch in a few bucks to their foundation with a vanity plate!

I had an F150 in there version of nautical blue, they call it blue jeans. I pay 20 a month and have unlimited washes. Chicago winters I drive through after every snow. I never saw one scratch swirl mark from the wash. I do keep a good base coat sealer wax and topped off with collinite.
I have read where some manufactures paint is thinner (susceptible) to swirl marks more than others. In short can someone answer my original question as I am buying a 4runner this year and need to know. How does this color (on a 4runner) hold up to car washes. If it docent, no biggie, love the color, can't stand swirl marks and would find another color

I bought my T4R used and the paint was wrecked from car washes. I had my detailer do a paint correction and no more swirls.

I so used to want to do that, but now that I am looking at putting a solar panel there, I am going to pass and keep the SR5 hood.
