Need 2 Inch Lift In Front (Options Please)

Hi Guys

I searched through 2 pages of Results

I recently installed Moog springs and KYB shocks in the back of my 2001 T4R
which left me with 36 1/8 from floor to fender at the back and 33 7/8 in the front...

I want ro raise the front 2" to even it out somewhat and i'm looking for options.
I'm not flush at the moment so i'm somewhat restricted...

Can anyone point me to the appropriate thread or give me some options...

Need center of hub to fender lip measurements to take out tire size from the equation. That will give you and idea of where you are currently.

This. I used to use fender to ground measurements coming from the world of low and slow VWs, but hub center to fender is the one we need.

There is always driver side lean so with aftermarket springs I would recommend an adjustable coilover (like the 5100's if you are 4x4 or have some weight in the front). OEM springs have a thicker and thinner front spring to account for this.

I'm not looking to correct a lean, I was hoping to get recommendation for a 2" front lift that is affordable...

The springs you get will compensate for the driver, full gas tank and battery all being on the same side of the vehicle. Depends what you mean by affordable and whether you want to compress the springs yourself. Check out the suspension sticky links. I was lazy and did something like this during a sale at Wheeler's Off-Road - About $450 a pair assembled with springs:

I have been searching but it's always Bilstein,OME etc. combos which cost hundreds of dollars and for the average joe, well...


That's way out of my price range at the moment... LOL...
I did the back myself with Moog springs and KYB shocks, that was about $180 all in...
I was hoping to get away with around $200 for the front.
Yes i know cheaper is not better etc. etc. but it is what it is...

If it's impossible i guess i'll save-up for 6 or so months...

FWIW, I put in 1/2" top plate spacers into my '97, which was supposed to give about a 1" lift. However I ended up with almost 1.5" lift, and my hub-to-fender height now is 22.5". Can't go much cheaper than this approach .

4Runner Bilstein 5100's on the correct perch will do it pretty easily. (I think one of them is 1.75" lift? should be perfect)
