Need a Burlwood Center Dash Bezel

So, I broke the center dash bezel (surrounds the center vents, clock, radio, etc.), and I’m trying to find a replacement.

I’ve got a ‘99 Limited, and I *think* it’s burlwood grain, but I’ve never seen a breakdown of the grains and names.

I’ve seen a few on eBay, but they cost more than I would expect (~$200).

Anybody got a good supplier handy?

It was cheaper and easier for me to replace all my wood grain trim with black SR5 trim pieces. Good luck!

Search Craigslist in Boulder CO. I know there are a few around here currently listed as of yesterday for less than $200.

BTW if you only need the center dash bezel piece PM me and I might go in on one with you and ship to you. I need the vents and clock only (for a 2000)

The fake woodgrain type is notorious for breaking around the top left mount/fastener. As the instrument bulbs tend to fail often, the frequency of removing the console will only increase the chance of it breaking at some point.
There is a school of thought on this forum that the black ones are made of a stronger grade plastic which is why some folks swap them over. There were a couple of black ones on ebay last week in the $120 range.

Switch to black and don't look back. I was pleasantly surprised with how good it looked even with the rest of the trim being wood grain.

I bought an extra wood grain bezel a few years ago when they were cheap and easy to find. It broke just from sitting in storage. You might find a replacement for this recent mishap, but what about the next time you need to remove the bezel? Odds are that the new one will crack too.

Appreciate the offer, but I would definitely keep the clock. A functioning clock in a 3rd gen is no common occurrence. I temporarily revived mine with a soldering gun, but it didn’t make it another 30 days.

Those burlwood pieces are very fragile. I saw one at yard, so I though I'd try my luck and give a try removing the piece. Any kind of a gentle prying pressure would chip and crack the plastic. Those might as well be made out of glass.
