Haha. This thread is awesome! The rare "13 or 14 gallon tank" version. Im so jealous. My tank only holds like 18.5 gallons.

How do you get anywhere with only an 18.5 gallon tank and an F-16 turbine engine? I bet you spend a lot of time refueling. I bet you wish you had that 13 or 14 gallon tank now.

I emailed him and he sent pics. I'm a couple of miles away so was planning to check it out this week if he emails me back. Looks good in the pics but have to see it in person. I'll post my 2 cents after I check it out.

Nice enough guy in emails and phone messages back and forth but after a week or so emails and messages trying to setup a time he's decided to keep it.

"Sorry Bob my brother in law bought 2 jet skiis so now I need to keep it to tow them to the lake"

So there you have it . . . my search continues

... the recent 4runners just aren't as well made as the ones a number of years ago. I drove the base $43,000 model at the dealer last month and it felt like a boat handling wise and cramped inside ...

So a new "base" T4R is $43K?? Wow! What stealership did you go to?

And the new T4R was "cramped inside" ... As opposed to what? Your smaller 3rd Gen T4R?

THe rig was in excellent cond and he didn't keep it. i drove up from central cali last thur and picked it up. xtra xtra xtra clean and well worth the 250 mile drive.. Not to may 3rd generation rigs left out there with 68k miles and in that good of cond for 10k. A few k worth of trail xtras and she will be ready to go

As for the seller. . . :wtf: not sure why he felt the need to lie about it to me. Not only in emails but on the phone as well. Not cool. I had $11,400 (his asking price) in cash ready to go see it.

Anyway . . . Congrats again it did look extremely clean in the pics.
