NEED a location pic of the 4WD ECU ASAP

can someone one send me or post either a pick of the two plugs going into the 4wd ecm or the location the ecm

I did the 4wd conversion on my truck and I found a 4wd v8 in a junk yard and I still need the oem plugs for the controller, but I need pics to show the guy exactly what I need. since I do not have the plugs in mine and the ecm is not in the factory location, i need my pals on here to hook me up with pictures.

I'm guessing you're talking about a 4th gen? Why not put this in the 4th gen forum?

If you have access to a factory service manual, that will show what you want to know.

In the general section the guys without 4th gen will see it. Guys that may have had a 4th gen or guy that may work at a dealer and have access to this info. This was my best shot. A long shot yes but I counted it my best shot.

What year is the donor vehicle? The 4WD ECU is in a couple of different locations.

Mine, an '06, is mounted to the back side of the trim panel under the glove box and is very clearly identified... there are two units on the back of that panel and it's the front one. Pretty sure that applies to '03 - '06 Runners.

HELP PLEASE - Looking for a 1999 Toyota 4Runner 4WD ECU

Hi All,

I have been doing research online and I'm unable to find a 1999 Toyota 4Runner 4WD Electronic Control Unit (ECU). This is specific to my 4WD that is not engaging. Does anyone know of anyone who might have this in a part?

Any ideas on the 2012 ECU location? I've been all through the forums and it seems like no one has any info on it...I'm looking to do some engine mods and I need to snap a picture of the connections so I know what to buy for my harness. Thanks!
