Need help deciding

Hi guys,

I have a dying 98(major knocking) and I found a replacement. Its a 2002 4X4 SR5. I has only 125000 k on it but..... The tires are shot, its missing a bit of coolant(its red though), its throwing a P0442 code and the back door is stuck(the key part fell into the door). He wants 5500 for it but I think i could get it for 4 grand because he is leaving the country in a few days. What do you all think?

How many miles are on yours? And I wouldn't pay more the low 4's. Tires are a easy $1000 alone. Not including the engine code fix and the hatch lock.

I'd pull a carfax on it and have a good mechanic look it over, imo. What you've described is enough for me to wonder what else is wrong with it that's not immediately visible.
