Need help getting it up!

7 months into the 4Runner and I'm sick of the nose dive and want some height!

I've done my research and narrowed down what I'm looking for but as I've never lifted only lowered a vehicle before I need some reassurance before I pull the trigger.

I'm looking for a subtle lift that will reduce the nose dive when braking and retain a little rake. Here's what I'm thinking.

Front - OME 884--- 2" lift standard coils (Without Top Plate Spacer which makes it 3")

Rear - OME 895E--- 1 1/2" lift Rear Coils

Any recommendations or advise greatly appreciated. I've even added some "before" pics to keep everyone happy.

Same setup I'm looking at for my '13 SR5. Talked to Wheelers who recommended the same thing but also adding Bilstein 5100's for the longer reach in the rears. Pretty much decided I'm going that direction, have seen pics of other 4Runners with pretty much the same setup and it looks great.

i think you would be happier with an OME kit from toyteclifts.com with 884/Toytec Coils. Would yield a 3" front and 2" rear.

You really need new shocks with what ever you get because OEM valved shocks are not going to cut it with all the spring ft/lbs.

Thanks. My original intent was to go with Bilstein 5100s front and rear. If I do that and set the front at 1.75, can I get a 1" spring for the rear or should i get new springs front and rear? I don't want the front to be softer than the rear or anything. That or set the front at 2.5 and a 1.5" spring in the rear.

The 5100's seem to be great replacement/upgrade shocks to go with a lift like that.

Also, I would prescribe you the normal 4.7L V8 solution to your "getting it up" problem... but you 5th gens seem to have been "stiffed" hehe... sorry couldn't resist. Wish you the best of luck!
