Well I am hoping to have my bumper on(to show off) and want to have my truck in case I need to go somewhere. I was thinking of just following you there.

Just want to say that these skids come with very detailed install directions pics and all No need for us to do a right up just scan the instructions and post them.:bravo:
I will try to get my old skid off this week so sat all I have to do is have some muscle to help hold it up to get bolts started. After:artaint of coarse.

Bump!!! Is this it for this sat my place?
1. Driffter33 7:30am Paint and mount Gas Tank Skid. Supplying grill and some beverages.
2. Pikeman- Bringing some tools and skills to help out. Not sure of time-mid morning?
3. brian2sun - 10am - paint and mount gas tank skid and eat BBQ.
4. Shoke ~10am - Help out and Trim front bumper possibly.

My dad ended up having a floating off day for this saturday and he wants to go fishing :fishing:
I was really looking forward to this! Sorry to have to cut out so close to the date...

Pikeman I will go buy dealerships today and see if I can have upper and lower ball joints for Sat that way we will have wrenching to do.

Funny you say that, I'm doing my LBJs on Friday. The uppers are still in very good shape (only ~ a year and a half old), but my lowers are already shot (<1 year old Moogs.. booo Moog.. booo!) and they have started to make some pretty bad popping noises around tight turns. I would bring them down and do em on Saturday, but they look and sound so bad, I don't want to risk them breaking on the 2 hour drive down there (especially if one broke while I was changing lanes at 65 on the freeway!).
I got lifetime warranty Napa LBJs for $83.99 each. The dealerships around here wanted $107 and had to special order them. In this case I think it's worth it not going OEM since they are quick and easy to R&R so if the Napa ones wear fast, I'll just swap em out for a free set.

why wouldnt you go work on it with the guys? have them help? Steeze drove his around for two weeks on blown seals!
I remember driving mine for a few days/week at least before I realized what happened

I have a nice set of seal drivers and a orilies right up the street and a dealer just down the street and lots of help.

Yeah, I drove around for about 6 months on a leaky rear seal. Come over and we'll help ya!

Well you guys aren't too bad a bunch, to say the least. You can count me in as 4Runner #5 at 10am. I do need to be back in Long Beach by 2:30pm though...
I have the tools (minus the torque wrench and drifter's seal drivers) to do the job and have read the seal replacement threads a few times over. :bigok:

Hoping to add my 4runner to the list and help out with what I can.
I can bring a few tools and something to throw on the BBQ.
Would it be a pain to weld some rear lower control arm skids?
