are mechanic shops closed in USA due to quarantine? They still work fine here in Canada.

I can't afford shop prices right now or I would go to one. I'm down to one income so I was wondering if anyone that was laid off would like to make some money.

For about $200 you can get new LCA's from 1AAuto that come with new ball joints installed. If your adjust bolts are all not seized and you can lube up and reuse this is a low cost option. I've had one installed for 2-1/2 years and 25K miles and no issues yet, but I don't off road.
You can keep your take off LCA's get new ball joints installed later.

The cost of s ball joint tool kit is cheaper than going to someone's house and them charging you.

I did all 4 of my ball joints with the ball joint kit and a few basic garage tools. You can do it and save money.

Hi,

Concerning your ball joint kit, what size spacer did you use to remove the front lower ball joint? I ask because I noticed that my kit does not contain a spacer big enough in diameter or long enough to allow the removal of the ball joint.
