Need Help! Thinking of purchasing..

Wow that thing is nice. I loved my '95 but of course a few months after I got it the head gasket popped. These 3.0's are famous for it so that would be my only concern. Maybe find out some info on if the HGs were ever replaced. Being a '95 chances are it wasn't in the recall. I believe only the 95's made late 1994 were involved in the recall. Other than that I'd say throw him a 3000 offer and go from there.

Wow that thing is super clean! I have never seen an engine bay that clean before.

^^^Agree with declansdaddy. Buy it with the expectation that the head gasket is gonna go in a while because you never really know how it was driven before. And the slush box adds the wear on the 20 yr old motor.

I say go for it

Good luck

Its difficult to turn down at that price just because it's so damn clean! Any used and nearly 20yr old truck will have risks, the biggest having already been mentioned.

Thanks for the heads up on the head gasket! Appreciate the info. 20 years...lol, I was born in '85 and still consider 95 and newer cars relativley "new"...I feel older now. I reached out to the seller today, but havnt heard back. Hoping it hasn't sold yet!

I was born in '83 and when I look at my '86 I think wow that thing is old but the '95 to me still seems like a new car. It shocks me too when I think about it being 20 years old. I told my 14 year old niece I'd get it back and fix it up for her to drive and she said "I don't want an old car like that" haha. Funny how that works. Anyways I hope you get back with that guy because if I had the money and it wasn't 3/4 the way across the country I'd love to have that truck.
