Problem: 4runner has ran great (only driven it a few hundred miles since purchase), randomly today it doesn't start, it cranked continuously as if it were out of gas. I turned the ignition completely off and back on at least 5 times, finally it was like something reset and it started normally, but then 3 Lights were on, Engine light and two vsc lights on lower left side of instrument panel. I drove it 2 miles, shut off and restarted and now no engine lights ??? I had never heard of engine lights re-setting themselves ? I was not aware that was possible? When I inspected I noticed a vacuum line appears to be missing, but I'm not sure... See Photo below... I also ran a scan and got error codes listed below, but this was after the engine light went out ?? very confusing to me.
Vehicle History
2001 4runner only 94,000 Miles, new to me, all maintenance appears to have been done at Dealership. according to paperwork its had a two new catalytic converters, plug wires, timing belt, water pump & charcoal canister., also seen a document were previous owner had some issues with vsc light.. I read something online somewhere about someone calibrating something to fix a similar issue but can't find it...
Is there suppost to be a vacuum line here, the tubing is capped off on right and open on left, but I have no idea where it originally went??
