Need Pic of roof without the liner in place

i have a 2000 with no sunroof 
and i want to mount my alpine 6x9s in boxes that rocked my 88 4runner.
i'm thinking of attaching them to the roof just behind the back seats. i was wondering if the headliner fastener holes would accept screws and if they are strong enough to hold up the speakers and boxes, they're between 2 and 3 lbs.
any help would be awesome, thanks guys.

I wouldn't screw or otherwise fasten anything to the inside of the roof. If you have to brake quickly, or are involved in a front or rear collision, there is a good chance those speakers will find their way to the back of your head.
6x9's? Really? Hanging from the roof? Come on, there are much more effective ways to get loud sound in the 4runner, without looking corny or endangering your life!

i didn't really think of the danger factor, i was thinking of bolting them on securely, but with the g force of a collision, i'm guessing you guys are right.
in my old 4runner a had them on the back seat, worked and sounded awesome. i just would rather they were more out of the way this time.
on another note, would the stock cd player be able to handle them? and should i disconnect the rear stock speakers? i was thinking of wiring them to piggyback off the rear door speakers.
