Need silver tailgate for 2005 4runner

Some Lou backed into my 4runner with a trailer hitch and took off. Now the rear wiper doesn't even touch the glass. Looking to buy one in good shape (preferably silver) if anyone has one or knows where to get it. Thanks.

Call around to a couple junkyards in your area. a lot of times accidents are only front end damage so you may get lucky. as for color I'm not sure what to say. you may have to break down and have it painted. although silver T4R seem to be very popular

For a color matched one then you're talking about used.

A new one only comes primed and then you have to get it painted.

Most of the Salvage yards here in NH don't have ANY 4runners. They come in...and then they are sold out west someplace.

Can you post a pic? If it's crushed, you may need to replace it. If it's just a large dent there are plenty of good body shops that will repair it, and give you a lifetime warranty on what they do. A used liftgate will run probably $1500 min IF you can even find one. In Arkansas, $1500 will cover ALOT of labor if you decide it's repairable. Body shops will all tell you to replace it because they make more $. However if it is repairable, and you go to a quality shop, you might save some money. Again, that's all pending that it is in fact repairable and not completely crushed.
