Need slider installation pics

Just got my 4x innovation sliders in the mail, and am going to get the welded up soonish..

Only issue is the place I'm taking them to get welded on hasn't really done sliders before, so I will need to do the whole mockup. Anyone have pictures of their sliders installed, and where you mounted the legs and such?
It would be a great help

Thanks!

Man, I don't think I even took pics of the mock up...

weld the little Squares on the frame (like a diamond) just to hold them in place, Same with the Tubes that came with the set.. weld them to the little squares, position the slider on jack stands the way you want it (angle and all) and then tac them all together.. then break the spot weld holding the squares on the frame free...

Now they are all setup, you can weld them together complete and paint them. Next is welding them on the truck for good. I have some pics, don't know how good they are.. they are on my other computer and the battery is dead. Good Choice on sliders, got pics? DOM, HREW?

these are the photo's i have already posted..

I'll get some pics shortly of the raw stuff. What I'm most confused about is there are 6 mounting tubes. 4 are short, 2 are long... the frame looks straight..

Sounds like they sent you a generic slider that will fit all toyota single cab trucks and 4runners. The frame on the 84-95 4runners angles inward toward the center of the truck at around the middle of the front doors. When you install sliders on the early models the front legs are longer. On the 96-02 4runners the frame is straight and all the legs will be the same length. You just need to cut the long ones down.

That would explain why I had to cut two of the tubes.. lol

Could someone snag a pic of where their legs attach to the frame?

Going over to get this done in half hour :bluejump:

So where is the slider supposed to line up with the pinch weld? Mocking them up now and Can't figoure out if I got it right

Help now?

my sliders have about 1/4 to 1/2 inch below pinch weld. I have my tubes lined up about the bottom of the frame. I am on my work computer and can't post pictures or look at my photobucket but you can look and see. go to photobucket and my user ID is ressoldier

I'm just wondering if they are sticking out far enough. the legs I was given are only 6 inches, and I'm thinking it would be nice to have another inch or so... I'll look at your photobucket.

I have the all-pro sliders. The first tube(front to back attached to legs) is just under the body and pinch weld. Then it buldges out from there, some companies have the short sliders that go right against the body and not stick out at all.

I just swapped out sliders, you can see how I did my legs and gussets in the link to my build thread in my sig (it's towards the end). The length of the short legs that come with are perfect. If you want the slider to stick out further, you can just angle the slider less..

Bringing back an old thread so I dont need to start a new one for a quick question. Is there any particular spacing needed for the mouting legs to be welded on, or is just keep then evenly spaced along the slider?
