Hmm, I haven't experienced any of these issues. I did cut the exhaust way back so it now dumps out next to the rear wheel since I had already crushed it quite a bit from wheeling.

Only real place I have taken it is on a bunch of fire roads back into Lyons reservoir past Twain Hart where I did some mountain biking. Almost got my 2 wheel drive tundra stuck back there which was funny in itself. I'll most likely plan a few more trips up there this summer and then we have our long one in July where we will cruise through the Tetons and Yellowstone so hopefully I can have some fun with it then. I'll also hopefully have my jeep done for this summer so that will be my primary wheeler.
I clicked on your build thread one of the parking lot pictures looks like the complex right off of East ave. You plan on going up the mountains much this summer?

But they look so cool!! well actually after I took off my "plastic bumper and realized that about 2 feet on either side of the frame section has absolutely no protection from off center collision I am glad I picked this bumper up.

The exhaust seems like its a 100% interference issue, the body bolts on the other hand is really hit and miss, there have been others that have mentioned have interference issues with them and others like yourself that had no issues. As far as the panel moving you should have a buddy pace you on the freeway and video tape your rear corners, the plastic bumper section has no support on the bottom and just flaps/flexes in the wind.

Seriously, they are terribly slow. But I like their rear bumper design. Very clean and the removable receiver is pretty trick.

If he didn't want to cut the bumper, I doubt he will be comfortable cutting the whole rear crossmember out. Plus, op wanted to retain spare location which the labs bumper can't do. It is the absolute highest clearance option for 5th gens though.

I just moved to San Antonio and because the lack of wheeling opportunities here in Texas I maybe getting rid of the 4runner. But if I do keep it I will be contacting InSain Fabrication to replace my damaged rear bumper. They did the aluminum bumpers for ToyTec for SEMA.

There's wheeling opportunities here, just not like Utah or Colorado though. Some good offroad parks in the Hill Country, the beach (not challenging) and Big Bend in West Texas. At least Moab and Colorado are only about a day and a half away. Welcome to San Antonio, I hope you enjoy it. This has been a really rainy sh**ty winter. Usually it's much nicer!

Look up Central Texas Off Roaders on Facebook. They do a couple trips a month, and most of them are in the SA area. They also do mild to wild when they go. There are several OHV parks within 90 miles of you.

Yep, you wont have a Colorado mountainous view, but there are places rough enough to potentially tear up a full on King of Hammers buggy.

Have you had a chance to see yours beside the Shrockworks to see the difference? The 4X4 Labs is definitely better clearance but I'm curious how much of a difference it is between the two.

Not yet but it's probably extreme. Labs is tight as possible. If someone is close to me I'd love to do a side by side. That's true for any other make as well. I'm in Davis (near sac) if there are any takers.
