Need suggestions on picking new tires 01 2wd daily driver

Just looking for a good quiet ride nothing spectacular just a good set of normal tires, Truck almost never sees rain.

Should I go with a 265-75-16 ? maybe coopers also what is the difference between a 10 ply or lt tires?

Sorry this my 1st truck so just trying to get info here.

If non off-roading will be done, get a P rated tire for best ride. You will not like an LT or 10 ply tire. Fine to go with 265/75/16s. Look at Firestone Destinations, Toyo Open country ATs, Coopers...all of them are about the same at that level, just get the one you think looks good.

I just put Goodyear Forteras on mine, 2wd daily driver, and they are sooo much smoother than the Dunlops that were on it. The Dunlops were the stock tires that came on my Tundra splits.

+1 for the Firestone Destinations. A good tire that with the right sale one can get 4 for the price of 3.

Also look at the Michelin LTX. Costco has good sales on them every 4 months or so.

It really depends on what you want. If function over form is the most important aspect, and your 2wd 4Runner never leaves the pavement, I'd go for a P-rated Highway tread tire, in the stock size.

Lots of people put on bigger, more aggressive tires for the look. But if you will never use the inherent characteristics of bigger, more aggressively treaded tires, you'll be paying for the look in worse braking, acceleration, and worse MPG.

I like the look of those so looking at those cheapest I found was 600.00 sound about right?
