Neo iON for my iPod

Ok installed my Neo iON today. Did a little write up with pics as well.

The sound quality is great, it seems a little softer than the in dash CDs. But nothing serious.
Also you have to select a playlist on the iPod and then you can use the HU or steering wheel controls to skip between songs. I also noticed when initially starting the steering wheel controls only works after you use the HU to switch between songs first.
Bid advantage is being able to use the iPod interface while being connected.
Also if you try to change "discs" on the HU or steering wheel it only changes songs, waskinda hoping it would go to the next playlist.
Works really well, should just get used to it and eventually find a mounting to have the ipod interface ready. However other things await.

bulldog, great write up! It helped me install my Neo in less than 30 minutes, thanks.
Overall, the unit is excellent! I can control the selection of tracks with the buttons on the steering wheel. My only problem is that the sound level does not get very loud at all. This is an annoyance to people like me who like to crank music all the way up once in a while. After some research, I found a program called MP3Gain that you can use to increase the volume of your MP3s. Loading Mp3Gain and cranking the volume up to 103dB worked for me. Seems like a simple solution to a potentially complex problem.

i don't want to hi jack this thread as I started another one, but just wanted to say that this company http://www.vaistech.com/aic100i.html has an interface that will allow seamless integration of the ipod. including artist, song title info displayed on the nav or any hu supporting MD changer. Someone did it on the GX470 already:

i've been waiting on something like this for a while now so i thought others may be too. it's pretty pricey at $369, but you do get an additional input into the hu with it.
