2019 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss.

Got an offer I couldn't refuse. 10K of MSRP and 36K for my 4runner.

Same boat as me. I traded in my 2017 4Runner after chasing this forever on a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. Fantastic steering feel on these Chevy trucks.

Bummer. Ive been following this since you posted (just didnt have anything to offer). I had a similar issue when i got new wheels and tires at 500 miles. Had it aligned and balanced 5 different times but the last time (after complaining to the manager at dealership) he personally worked on the car with a tech and its been fine since. Honestly not sure what they did differently the final time.

Sucks it didnt work out but glad you didnt get hit too much on new truck

Nice!!! Those are sick. I was looking at them, but I've been missing driving a full size truck since getting rid of my 2007 RAM. Congrats.

It's a shame you couldn't get your 4Runner fixed.

The Silverado Trail Boss is a pretty sweet truck. Hopefully you have zero vibration problems now.

It looks like my ordeal is not over yet. Goodyear initially replaced my stock Dunlops with Goodyear Ultraterrains. One tire is bad with 41 lbs of road force causing vibrations. The replacement for that tire is also bad with 24 lbs of road force and then 21 lbs after being force matched because it is still causing vibrations. So I'm trying to get the replacement of the replacement replaced again.

You and I just have the worst luck with tires.

Anyway, so far so good on the Trail Boss. Loving this truck.

Anyway, so far so good on the Trail Boss. Loving this truck.

I can’t get another brand because GY covered the replacement of the stock Dunlop’s with these. I’m waiting at the tire shop right now because they are going to replace that tire again. I hope this is the last time. My other 3 tires are good on the roadforce (9,9, & 16 lbs). I just need one more good one but I keep getting bad ones.

So little update.

Got really tired of dealing with this problem, and decided to trade it in yesterday.

The wobble came back on mine, on top of the already electric toothbrush feeling I had the entire time.

Good thing about the 4runner is it holds it value, so I got 36K for it and I paid 37K for it when I bought. I can deal with a 1K loss.

I hope Toyota steps up and fixes this problem one day. It really is an amazing vehicle. Sad to see her go.

Bummer to hear you had to move on. I don’t blame you, though. I’m lucky that my dealer let me swap my wobbly 4Runner for a different one three days after bringing it home. Dodged that bullet. Best to you with your new wheels. Life’s too short to be angry and frustrated.

Personally, I wouldn't go to anymore shops. Your 4R is under factory warranty and I would hand it off to Toyota. Talk with the sales manager and service manager and go from there. IMO huge time suck to keep taking it everywhere. Your dealer should offer you free rental or something and make them work for you. No way would I drop it at any shop with an intact warranty and 1900 miles on it.

Exactly! I can't even understand why you would consider taking it anywhere else. It's under warranty, let Toyota get it right.

After the bad experiences with the Goodyear Ultra Terrains, America's Tire let me exchange them for BFG KO2's. America's Tire had to do this on their dime because Goodyear would not cover the costs for another Tire manufacturer. That goes to show how awesome America's Tire is.

I love the KO2's. No steering wheel shake at it.

This thread had me worried, since with 80,000+ miles on a set of Bridgestone duelers, even though there was still acceptable tread, it was time for a new set. Bridgestone had a $70 deal when buying 4, so I pulled the trigger on another set of Alenza plus at the local Firestone shop. The ride wasn't bad before, but much improved now. Zero steering wheel vibration, tracks straight with hands off the wheel--it's my daily driver, so I'm digging it. Definitely pleased with 219,500 on the clock. Tire size 255/55/r20, total stock 2010 Limited.
