Just recently bought an 87 4runner after not having a truck for 5 years. I spent 4 years over seas, and for the past year my wife and I have shared our Equinox... I used to have a full size Bronco and a K5, and I desperately wanted another 4x4, but not a gas guzzler.. So I spring for the 4runner...
It's currently on a 3" body and 3" suspension lift.. skinny ass 33" A/Ts, and it's 5spd with a 22RE.. I bought it as a running project even though it's in relatively good shape... Just bought K5 axles for a near future SAS, 36' swampers will be the next piece to that puzzle... and then a bunch more stuff... Love the 4runner so far! It does pretty well offroad despite the IFS and crappy tires!
I also like to shoot guns!
