New 2015 Trail Lift or Level?

You know let me search the PICS and see all the 2.5/1.5 and 1.75 set ups and see what tickles me. I know the full 3/2 lifts are more than I need.

Nice looking ride, how does it look up close with the stock tires. Too much wheel well, or OK.

I wanted to see some space, but when I ditch the bridgestones I might get some 275's. I'm not sure if I really want LT's, but I don't want to go all the way up to 285. I drive a lot for work and am trying to be as mindful on MPG's as I can. I am a little concerned about the spare fitting though, the stock tire rubs against my KDSS sway bar as it goes in, it makes me worry a larger tire would rub the bar while driving.

Save money, then i wouldn'thave the hood scoop. Wife and an I love the non-funtional scoop, and nicer rims.


It takes me in the hills shooting, hunting, and prospecting.

Thanks for the @ tip.

Went out to look at my spare, inch or so away from sway bar. I'll be keeping stock tire anyway, going to wear the rubber on these dunlaps, then Michelin LTX AT2 stock size.
 
Above-coil spacers keep the exact same ride quality and wheel travel, but add a chance to damage the shocks in extreme wheeling unless you modify the bump-stops.
In-coil (preload) spacers affect ride quality and reduce wheel travel, but there is little chance of damage. This requires taking the assembly apart and a spring compressor to put it back together.

Either will serve to give you a little more ground clearance and wheel-well clearance. This is for looks and moderate off-roading in dirt, mud, and some rocks. Neither is good for hard off-roading in rocks, but it doesn't look like that matters to you.

If you are happy with the factory ride, and aren't doing any hard wheeling over rocks or drops, then a $150 Daystar 2.5/1.5 above-coil spacer lift/level from Amazon will probably be all you need. You can install it in your driveway if you have the tools.

If you want a better ride quality then as mentioned a set of Bilsteins would be a huge improvement.

Seen in person a new readylift and Revtek 3/2 lift recently, was too high for me. Had a spacers front/rear on my last ride, was about all available on the Trailblazer, rode better, also had Bilstein 4600 HD on all 4.

About all I do is back & forth to work, and on weekends hit the old logging roads for some outdoor fun, I stay out of the heavy wheeling.

I'll be Bilstein all 4 with adjustable up front, just pondering the height. Looked at a shit load of PICS (A ton of great looking 4R's) on the forum & the 1.75 seems to look about right with the stock rubber size and small spacer rear. But not ruling out the full adjustment with 1 1/2 spacer rear just yet.

My typical weekend isn't OF by some, even my definition has always been upto axles in mud, driving home with something broke, new dent etc...

Curious to know how you truck looks from the side. Level? Why did you choose what you chose? Bigger tires?
I am in the same boat....Deciding what to do with my Trail.....
