Hello,
I'm new to the forum, and new to 4Runner... kind of. I had a 2nd Gen, and loved it until the 3.0L took a dump at 300K. I should have just replaced the motor. I'm currently in the process of finding and customizing a 3rd Gen. If anyone know the right place to look. I am looking at the classifieds here, cars.com and Autotrader.com. I will also, be looking for information on a lift, say 3 inch. as well as tires and Wheels. I've spoken with some folks who have don the lift on the cheep, buy using some Landcruiser, t-100, and tundra parts. I'm huge fan of using Toyota OEM parts, even if they are from a different model, to improve the vehicle. For instance, I know that certain tundra rotors, calipers, and pads will improve break performance, and that certain Landcruiser wheels will work for more than one reason. Anyway, I look forward to this project, and learning many things from the forum, and the learning curve on member's projects.
