New 4Runner Owner.. Need some help

Wife & I just got our first 4Runner. We love it.. 2010 Frost White. Such a great ride!

Our first mission is to take out the stock radio and install a touch screen system and put the new casing around it. Where can I find the casing for the touch screen systems? Been looking online and having no luck. What can you all suggest?

Generally, the place you purchase the radio from should also offer the installation kit / dash kit.

While their prices can be high (I generally avoid them for their prices), I actually purchased my Alpine INA-W910 as an open-box from Crutchfield.com (actually had the lowest price I could find, and are authorized dealers!!!). It INCLUDED the Scosche dash kit and the harness adapter for no extra charge - saved me a good $50-$75 on top of the already low price they had on the open-box radio...

Wiring a Radar detector

I have a 2013 4runner Limited. I want to hard wire my Valentine radar detector by the rearveiw mirror. I know you can run the wire along the overhead panel by the widshield but there are airbags that drop along the side windows. Will I damage anthing or set off the air bags by taking off the post molding on the pasengers side windshield to run the wire to the glove compartment and hook into the acessory plug in the glove compartment?I am new at this so I hope I picked the right area to ask this.
