Just picked up a 2014 TE Premium in black. Pretty stoked as this is my first 4Runner. I like everything about it except that it doesn't have auto lights. I did notice some nose dive which will take a little getting used to but all in all I'm happy.

The Premium does not have auto lights........Hmmm:shrug:

Congrats and welcome to the 5th Gen club!

Also, what do you mean by auto lights... headlights that turn off after a minute or two of being parked?

Most other vehicles today have a sensor that turns the headlights on at dusk.

Welcome to the club.

Dude, you have a coveted 2014 TE Premium no less. Complaining about lack of auto headlights is not going to get you much love on this or any other 4Runner forum in the known universe. Not being harsh, just saying the truth.

I love the truck, only gotten to drive it home from the dealer as I flew out the next day to Texas for a hunting trip. This is my first toyota and first 4runner, I think this is an overlooked option that should be included on the premium trims and not just the limited. Most other cars have had this as standard for many years now. I have gotten used to driving and not having to worry about turning the lights on.

Sadly it really blows that you get stuck with "option packages" that are immutable :(

My perfect 2014 4runner would be an SR5 premium with rear diff locker and manual transfer case shifter with key-less entry/starting and auto-headlights.

In other words features hand selected from all three versions but are not even close to available all at once.

So eventually I'll be adding a diff locker to my sr5. Sad to have to keep the electronic transfer case shifter (it truly sucks).

I /could/ add a key-less entry/start system but they aren't 100% like a factory install unfortunately...
