New 4runner Owner

Actually, only kinda new. I have had my 2012 Magnetic Grey KDSS 4Runner Trail since late November last year but have only recently joined the forum.

I always liked the 5th Gen 4runners and wanted one but never planned on buying one yet as my 2007 Xterra was still very low mileage and was giving me no issues and I owed nothing on it.....until

I had the opportunity to buy this 4runner....2012 4runner Trail Edition, Mag Grey Met (fav color for the 4runner) with KDSS (only option it doesn't have is NAV) with just over 47000miles (78000kms up here in the north) and I got it for $24,700. This was also throught the Toyota Dealer and I also picked up the extra 3 year ECP as the bumper to bumper was already out.

Couldn't pass up on this deal (Kinda similar to the one I got on my Xterra).

I loved my Xterra but with the kids getting older it was getting a little small, and they were finding it difficult to get in/out of the back seat.

I work at a Toyota Manufacturing Plant and got the option to by one of the Manager Vehicles at a really good rate so I jumped on it and I must say, I love my 4runner.

Knowing what I paid new, for you to get a 2-year old Trail for $24.7k is unbelievable.

That's why I jumped on it....

I put my name in when the 1st 5th gen came up (you get your name drawn for the opportunity to buy) and never dreamed I would get drawn, and on the 2nd draw I won the opportunity to get the one I got. Funny thing is when I sat in it and test drove it I jokingly said to myself that "I am going to win this truck..." and I did. Wife told me to buy a lottery ticket the same day. It was only 2 weeks from the first time I tried to get one and hundreds of people try for these every time.

I didn't realize how hard it was to find a Trail edition until I got one
