New 4th Gen in the family with limited vehicle history - What to check?

I just got a 2008 sport with 49,000 miles off of the 'ol interweb and don't have much vehicle history except for some handwritten notes showing pretty regular oil changes. I've checked the VIN through Toyota and found minimal service records there...

I'd like to run through the car and get a base line for maintenance and get a good picture of what I'm dealing with. Here's what I'm doing:

1. Changing the Spark Plugs - found that the originals were still in there 3 NGK and 3 Denso. They seemed to have pretty typical wear. See anything in the picture that is concerning?

2. Air Filter was dirty and put in a AFE dry air filter

3. Oil Change

4. Check the brake pads - I've never had a car with disc brakes, so I don't know how much life is left on these pads... Any ideas? I was guessing about 1/2

5. I was going to do the differentials and transfer case just because too.

Am I missing any major things to check? Other advice?

seriously! That's amazing. The plugs look clean and the pads have plenty of life left.
