VSC LIGHT: New ABS Harness, YAW Calibration: None Work?

Story: Moved my 5100s up to 2.5", broke Left-ABS Harness due to over stretching/pulling. Dash threw: ABS/SLIP LIGHT/4WD-BLINKING/CENTER DASH DISPLAY DOES NOT PICK UP TWO FRONT WHEELS(SAME MODE WHICH SHOWS WHICH DOORS ARE OPEN).

1. Took multimeter set on continuity and tested both ABS harnesses. Right side is fine. Left side did not pick up anything. Spliced ABS harness, soldered and wrapped new wires. The following lights went off: ABS/4WD BLINK. Following lights stayed on: SLIP/DASH STILL DOES NOT SENSE FRONT WHEELS.

2. Performed Yaw Zero-Point-Calibration word-by-word several times. Does not remedy this. We performed the Yaw ZPC on two 2011 Tacoma's which we lifted the same day, and it worked for those trucks.

3. Purchased brand new OEM Left-Side ABS Harness. Installed. SLIP LIGHT is still on and wheels are not picked up. Performed Yaw ZPC several times. Does not clear any of this.

4. What is next? Should I purchase a brand new Yaw sensor? Truck has 3700K miles on it. I replaced the only thing that broke during during the installation of the shock assembly, the ABS harness. I'm really stumped. Feels like the truck is on a limp knowing I cannot use ATRAC or any of those option.

Bite the bullet like I did and have the dealer diagnose it. At the rate you're going it might be cheaper in the long run.

Maybe try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes and see if it clears.

Tried that on several occasions. I also always disconnect the battery every time I do anything electrically.

I considered buying the Right-Side ABS harness and a brand new Yaw sensor/fuses but I stopped right there and made a phone call to the dealership. Haven't done that in a looonng time. Other than recalls.

Yeah, I actually just replaced my driver's side wire after work today. All the associated codes cleared right away without having to do a zero point calibration. Hopefully it's just something simple that you missed.

Many thanks to MtnManZ for giving me a tip to get the Slip Light off.

This whole time I was just doing the YAW ZPC but wasn't following up with the DAC calibration. Funny, my buds Slip Light came up after their lifts but just did the YAW ZPC and it cleared the light without doing the DAC calibration. Maybe this applies to 4Runners only?

Now that the Slip Light if off, still need to find out why isnt one of the dash modes isn't picking up the wheels. :snacker:

Thanks for the update. Keep us posted I guarantee others will have or have had this issue. I just hope it's not me.

I did the same this past week, I did ZPC and the light wouldn't go off. Finally figured out DAC had to be done in order for it to go off. Duh!

BTW Tech Stream is a handy tool to have when diagnosing. It also does the ZPC much easier than the whole pin thing.
