New addition to the garage

After months of research and days of negotiating, I got a 2006 C6 Corvette coupe. 400HP/400FtLbsTorque. Manual tranny.

This all started when I backed out from getting a supercharger. Well, when everyone on this forum replied, I called the dealer and said, ok I will do it. It was then when he said they have been discontinued.

So I said, I need muscle - and got the Vette. Since I was a kid I wanted one.

Anyway - it's a graduation gift from me to me. Wife loves it too.

Now - one complaint about the Chevy dealer. They never got back to me to tell me where to put the two kid seats : :

Oh - and I am still keeping the 4runner and the minivan. I love the Toyota. And yes - I am ready for the GM quality issues to come up

Congrats on the new 'vette! They're real beauties. I guess 4Runners and 'vettes go well together. I have an '89 'vette - nothing in comparison to the new '06's, but a fun summer car.

what is the diferent between the new c6 and the zo6?? all i can know is the zo6 has like 105 more hp and does 0-06 in 3.7 sec.

z06 has a 7.0 liter engine (or 7.1 - one of them)... the c6 already does 0-60 in like 4.3 seconds(6.0 liter engine for the c6), so its already crazy fast.

Z06 has a few other higher end items like better breaking, etc.

I'm not really a domestic car guy but I really like the new Z06! I think its one of the BEST top 10 best looking and performance sport car out their on the market for the money when comparing to Porsche ,Ferrari. lambo etc. I have to said GM really out done their self with the new Z06! :awais: :cheers:

the new Z06 also has a carbon fiber front end (fenders and hood)
and overall it weighs 80lbs less than the standard c6

I test drove a new c6 yellow hardtop awhile ago and it was breathtaking, it had the heads up display on the windshield that told you speed, rpms and g's when going around a corner!!!

I took that baby up to 115 on the back roads of dublin (the car salesman was pissed!) but hell it was fun
