Hey get your nose out of the brown. How you know my wheels are not baked to cure the paint as well? am how are you so sure that LINY4Runner was not perfectly doing his wrong? either way stop being a hater i know this is America not North Korea

Really? I'm sorry I didn't read the thread well enough and I didn't know it was YOU that was looking for inspiration. In any case, again ChildrenOfBodom, I didn't mean to offend you. We are both here because we have a common love for these trucks. I am not here to get anyone butt hurt about anything. If it makes you feel better, I didn't go with it, I changed my mind to something inappropriate but yet funny.

Nah, It's all good. I didn't mean it in a bad way, I'm kinda glad you said what you did because everyone is right, my 4Runner is never really dirty. What plate did you go with?

As far as this thread, it should be locked. The poster of the thread seems to have gone a little far with his replies to posters. It's pretty obvious that the outcome of this would have been that, most people are usually mature about similar incidences and don't start fighting via internet. For someone who has a wife and kids, those replies were about as mature as someone my age or even younger. Obviously, if 96blacklimited didn't want to hear our thoughts, he wouldn't have started a thread. Just my $.02
 
You absolutely do not need permission to do what you want to your ride, but I think the point was to at least have the common courtesy to let someone know you want to copy their idea. If the person you're copying is the one that inspired you and explained the specific process, then at least have the decency to acknowledge the source of inspiration. It looks like you did a really good job on the wheels btw
 
You know,nobody really is original and I saw a set of '99 Limited wheels painted black with the edge red back 8 years ago and that color scheme has been on other wheels along time ago so everybody steals ideas from everybody else. I guess it would suck if the guy was your neighbor tho' but if it's in another state then who really cares.

Look at people that murder out (all black) their vehicles out which I see one of those styles at least once or twice a week just in my area so it's another trend that is copied quite a bit.

I like the idea of black and red but black is the majority of people choices when they upgrade or paint old wheels is to go black and that in itself isn't very original anymore. Even the wheel shops offer more black wheels than chrome or silver wheels so the trend is bigger than ever and is the reason my wheels stay silver.

It's all good and silly to get mad over something so trivial.

Dude i so agree. Like i see this paint scheme on tons of street racer wheels and wat not but ya like he said if its not near u, u shouldnt get mad bc someone is gonna steal some inspiration that they see from ur 4runner. Its the way people are created so u just gotta look at the good and be inspired to make ur 4runner EVEN better!

hey stick. i don't mind peoples OPINION. I do mid however when people are implying i should ask before i do something that i wanna when i am spending MY MONEY. it doesn't matter how you interpreted my post, that for me to live with and for you to decide how to choose your battles. Everyone is gonna do what they want i know this is a free country, so if you had an opinion about the work i was doing to my vehicle that would be totally different, but instead you chose to jump on a band wagon about how i copy people. I just notice from LINY4Runner that hes got LED tail lights, well i got the black-out ones. Should i have asked him his permission to buy those too?, our that's a decision i can make on my own?

Yeah, the pics i loaded from my cell phone (did't you read) because i don't know how to make the pictures my camera took (panasonic Lumix ZS3) smaller in order to fit to upload. So i used my phone to upload the pics to my camera first then to my computer ( you know those micro sd card/ then the the big one) My camera takes 10.1 and i don't know how to make them small. do you know how i can make my pictures to where they can be uploaded and not take up the entire screen?
 
Nobody should as for anything as far as how you paint your stuff and use parts. Its your rig, do as you like. The color code isn't a patented harley davidson emblem you have to get permission for.. ChildrenofBodom it goes like this, if you don't like what people have in their thread, then don't read it or comment on it. It's not hard to do ya know. If anything, its your posts in this thread that seem inappropriate. I put LandCruiser springs on my 98 a long time ago, you don't see me getting fired up because other people did this too. Matter of fact, I thought it was cool to see other people hand similar thinking minds! So chillax and enjoy the pix.

BTW, fender flares + lifted 4r = hotness!

thanks dude, yeah kinna funny you said that, cause that the reason i was mad as well. i mean i ask the dude how did he do his wheels, he never gave any details just lint to his pictures, but said thats how i want my truck to look. i spent about 3-4 months working on the wheels (other projects i was working on @ the same time) but i not even done yet, my idea of my truck has been in my head since i saw one of my Marine officers with his black limited and that was like 7-8years ago. i think hes just mad cause he know my truck gonna look better with HIS idea.

yeah, my car (06 Maxima)already have factory chrome. When i got my runner i always wanted a Black and this one was dream come true. I already knew i was not gonna go with chrome wheels or all black. My idea for my entire truck is black on red that's why i plan on getting toytec Ultimate lift kit for 96 4Runner with the red coils it will be amazing i cant wait but patience is a virtue an i have a lot of patience

Right dude, thank. i was not mad cause he think he had an opinion, i was mad because this guy is telling me i HAVE to ask another used first before i painted my wheels, then to continue that if i don't like his opinion i should not post. I mean brown-nosing is not an opinion right? I am here for inspiration and ideas of how to make my rig look how i want it, not to necessary look like others even though they all look great.
 
Not trying to be a D1ck, but how the hell do you drive with the seat leaned that far back, that looks like you would have no support.

well when you are 6'2'' i need to the room for my arms and legs, plus the seat is never in the same position cause my woman like to drive my truck instead of my car and i always have to move my seat. that's prob when i was cleaning or something, but i don't like being up under the wheel sorry. not tiring to be smart either, but i bet if you stretch your arm out (without leaning forward) while sitting in your driver seat you can touch you instrument panel. yeah and thanks for the pic comments on my wheels, that LINY4runner was prob the fist on here to do that black/red scheme, but not the first. I think he mad cause in the end my vehicle will look better overall, but not in any competition, just here to share and maybe inspire someone to make what i have done better.
