It will look good no doubt about that, but his 4runner will blow yours away like you have a long way to go before yours looks better than his, he specifically choose those those colors to match, and for contrast. Pics do no justice for his rim job (lol), he even took the time to put a red TRD stenciled on there, in no way will yours compare to that. You both are whining at this point and its getting annoying.

Look at people that murder out (all black) their vehicles out which I see one of those styles at least once or twice a week just in my area so it's another trend that is copied quite a bit.

I like the idea of black and red but black is the majority of people choices when they upgrade or paint old wheels is to go black and that in itself isn't very original anymore. Even the wheel shops offer more black wheels than chrome or silver wheels so the trend is bigger than ever and is the reason my wheels stay silver.

It's all good and silly to get mad over something so trivial.

If it's any other consolidation, 96's logos are red and Bryan's aren't ... haha

The pics look nice, although I do have to say that Bryan's were quite impressive in person. In the end, they're just wheels. I'm sure that someone else has the same color scheme as well, they just don't have it posted online.

thanks dude, i will have truck completed soon Stand by for pics more pics within 1month and i should have my truck looking like a beast then, i am even trying to find hood scoop, even if i have to buy another 4runnerm that already has one.

well remember i am not competing with him. yeah i probable have a long way to go but things are movineg along pretty rapidly. Hey got a question though. Why the hell are the toytec ultimate lift are so expensive? How much you think i might get charged to install. I know i should do it myself, but i don't have the time to do this work. just need a general idea of what might the labor cost are.

lol, i try not too. Act i just got a check engine light last night while driving home. Check it out and its cylinder 4 misfiring. now i have to get my plugs and wires done, so i got some NGK wires. what spark plugs u recommend?
 
Well poo. This was an intresting way to waste 11 mins of my life. I have black wheels. I have the same lift kit as a hundred other people. I have the same tires as a hundred other people. I have an ARB winch bumper like a hundred other people. I love my truck just like the rest of you love yours. Call me a copycat if you want, but at the end of the day, it's my truck, my money, my tastes, and ultimately my decision as to what I do with each. If you don't want something copied or imitated, put it together and leave it out of sight. If you want to immitate something that you think is cool or a good idea, I say give credit to where it's due. Everyone is happy that way. And we don't get into internet pissing contests, written in 11 year old short hand text message type posts.

LINY - Your truck rocks. I love the spoiler.
96 - Nice job on the wheels, but speaking from experience, if you didn't heat treat the paint on them it will chip and flake off.

Hey thanks, that's how i felt too you know, but over it now, was just a bad day with women problems, so came here to get away and my "parents" were on here telling me what i can/can't do and that i need to ask permission. Yeah i act talked with LINY a few months back right after he completed his, and he gave me the same advice. lol I act painted in different stages. 4-5 primer coats, 4-5 coats of black/red each then i baked them @ 200degrees for about 20-30 mins each. Second stage. waited about 2weeks than applied 3-4 more coats a top the first stage. Act in final stage now and all i have to do is clear coat. prob gonna go with 4coats each and let rims sit till about middle April when i get my tires/lift. lol @ you though "Well poo. BTW - The black wheels with red stripe has been around forever. It's actually called a "time attack" stripe. You can purchase wheels with it painted on the lip or even use the 3M colored tape. I see it all the time on the M5Board. It's just unfortunate that this thread turned a little ugly. Wheels will never be unique to your rig unless you have custom made wheels or something so far out there that someone would have to go above and beyond to duplicate. Anyway, enough of that.

I have the same wheels and thought about painting mine black (no red time attack), but decided against it since they looked decent as is. Hopefully, you can take care of the check engine light and move on to finish modding. As far as the labor for your lift.....figure at least 4 hours for a shop to do it. May want to check around for different shop hourly rates. Give us an update when you get everything on.

will do. i wanna be done by middle to first week of april. (time attack stripe ahhh thanks) yeah i already ordered NKG wires and will prob do the work tomorrow.

If you read my earlier post, you would've seen that I enjoyed when SilverBullet01 got the same billet grille. I have no problem with that, I see it as mostly a matter of admiration, although I would never just blatantly copy another user of the same forum without permission. I strongly disagree with your logic about my "inappropriate posts," I found them rather appropriate and like already mentioned, people are entitled to their own opinion. Besides, I don't even have black wheels with a red lip. I don't think I got fired up, either.

96 - Have fun with your stuff. We'll see in the future whether your truck will "look better."
