Hey all...I'm new to the forum, and new to 4Runner ownership. I just bought my 06 V8 Limited two weeks ago, purchased from the original owner with full dealer service history for its whole life, and no accidents or claims whatsoever. It's a real find, and the "grandpa gold" has even grown on me, though it was my last choice in colour preference.
So far I *love* the truck, though my first attempt at modding something went poorly. In the first week of ownership I found a used set of nearly-new good winter tires mounted on factory 16" wheels, being sold by a guy who took them off a 'runner the same year as mine. "Great, those will definitely fit", I thought. Went and bought them, dragged them over to KalTire to have them mounted, and of course...little to my knowledge, the Limiteds have different brakes than the SR5s, and 16" wheels don't fit. PERFECT. Luckily, the guy was nice enough to take them back, but now I'm still on the hunt for winter tires on rims that fit.
ANYWAY....here's a photo of my T4R. Yes, this is my photo, of the actual truck....I'm a professional photographer.
My other passion is motorbikes, with my primary bike for the street being a fairly modified Ducati Monster, pictured below.
Anyhow, that's all for now! New to the forum, but not new to automotive forums in general. I've been using this same handle on VW and motorbike forums for the better part of 15 years. Maybe there's even some cross-forum familiar faces in here.
