New dog cage / cargo barrier *lots of pics*

Saw this on another thread in here, and jumped on it. VERY pleased with the results.

Got this from Speski Offroad. I wanted a cargo barrier in order to corral muddy pups in the back of the runner, but I didn't want something that was held in place with nothing but pressure on the headliner. This little bad boy wasn't cheap, but it was worth every penny!

I'm pretty sure the guy who makes em doesn't advertise, so I just gotta give him the bump for a fast sale, shipping, and a quality product.

That's really cool, almost looks like a cop-car cage hahah, but very helpful for keeping the dirty dogs off the seats. Also like how you don't have to drill new holes and it keeps the OEM style look.

I like that a lot but $330 (according to Facebook) is a little steep for me. Plus I already know it won't fit my '03 since I don't have the hooks there.

I'm waiting on raingler to make something or just adapt one they already make to the 4Runner. I think the soft net would be a little nicer.

I had taken them out a while back. I actually put them back in but didn't post the pic cause it turned out a little blurry.

I decided to throw the cargo cover in to see how it fit with the barrier. No problems at all! (It takes a little more effort to hook on the headrest links, but that's it.)

So badass. My dog's a schnoodle so there's absolutely no need for me to have a barrier, but something like that can definitely make your 4R look a lot more badass! Solid mod

I guess I won't know for sure until it's too late... but I just did some quick checking for crash test videos, and it looks like the curtain airbags are exactly what you'd expect them to be. They just drop from the top and pop out from the rear pillar.

If that's the case, I don't think this will get in the way.

I got an email over the weekend from a forum member asking if these are still available. They are. I'm the one making them. I'm not really on the forum much anymore as my wife decided she no longer wants a new 5th gen. She decided she wants a used GX470 instead.

To address the side impact air bag question. I did not have the data to design around them so I do not recommend using my barrier if your vehicle is so equipped.
