Nemo?

So who else is looking forward to the snow storm? I'm going to have to intentionally "forget" some storm provisions at the grocery store tonight, so that I can take the 4R out tomorrow. Of course conditions permitting;)

Conditions = 4WD engaged lol.

I'm excited!

Only 4" up here right now. I think southern NE is gonna get hit a lot harder than we will. I locked the hubs for my hour commute to work, but didnt end up needing them. Bring on the snoW!!:frog:

I'm sure I might play as well, if the 75mph gusts don't drop a tree in front of my garage! I just don't want to be without power for a few days.

We have the chainsaw, my truck, and a snatch strap all ready to go!

The fridge is stocked and the generator is running off natural gas, so we won't be cold :) Yay whole home generators

Started my chainsaw, will back the 4R into the garage today (maybe get one of those tv commercial moments where the car flies out of the garage and blows apart the snow bank (now back to reality)).

We are stocked on food as well, natural gas stove & plenty of propane for the grill. Gas fireplace, 2 27 series fully charged batteries w/ inverter to use if/when needed. Computer battery back up charged, will use for cell phones and ipad. 5500W portable generator I took home from my shop in case I really need power, if is stays out a while.

Wife called....we are out of TP....DOH!!!!!!

Luckily she went to the store and got some, that could have been disastrous!!!

That truly would be disastrous! I would say forget the TP and buy a ton of chili!

How is everyone doing? We had gusts up to 80 mph last night with the snow! Cleared the plow spoil from the end of the driveway, cleared a few feet in front of each garage. Will wait for the driving ban to be lifted. Hear a few people around town got hit with $150 ticket for violating it.

I'm just staying home. I cleaned up 2+ feet

Cleared the 38" pile of snow spoil from the plows at the edge of the driveway, opened the garage door, and let the 4R do 'its thing'. Took a ride to the shop to check on everything (left just before 4 to beat the idiots). All was well at the shop. On the way back saw way too may 'cars' on the road. One stuck trying to go up a hill on the main road. :redbrick: It is sad that the gov. had to put a driving ban into place because of all the stupid people. As soon as it was lifted morons in neons try to drive, seriously, wtf?! I went from my house to my shop and back, no 'sightseeing'. Let the towns and police do what they need to. Rant over...the 4R went through the snow like a champ, so nice. I was a little worried about the steep non-treated hill close to the shop but the 4R climbed it without one slip (4L with a-trac just to make sure).

Nice nice!

I had some jackass cut me off in an intersection with a flashing yellow (flashing red on his side) so I followed him with my headlights, Hellas, and my 4" trek light XTs. It was a Sienna none the less

Anyway, I took my trailer and snow blower over to my fiancé's house to clean her driveway out.

I had to use my recovery strap to yank the trailer out of the snow. That was fun! Haha

40inches of that good white stuff in Hamden CT. There was a driving ban in place, but working for the power company I had a badge of freedom. Had no problem driving around in the 4runner until I got home. Snowplow came and I end up getting high center in my own driveway. Had

to winch myself into my driveway.

I find that quite humorous. What did you use as a winch point?

Well that works!

I wheeled in NJ with a dude who had one of those twice-the-price 4th gens :p. How to ruin an expensive vehicle. Lol

It just a toyota landcruiser prado. We got a good deal on it 30k minus trade in. It's a pretty nice setup center locking diff kinetic suspension setup and rise height control. I don't get to drive it though. She thinks I'll take it in the mud, she's right.

On the way to work winched out 2cars a full size dodge and one of those crossover suv. The crossover was the worst. The owner thought that his all-wheel drive could go through a 4ft snow bank.

So it's essentially my truck with air ride. I had the xreas (cross linked hydraulic suspension) and I have a center locking diff. The body is a little different.
