Used naval jelly, then pressure washed, then orbital sander with 80 grit, self etching primer, and then rustoleum paint.

Gonna do frame rails and other suspension components tomorrow

Yikes! And I thought mine was bad. Looks much better all covered up. I have a can of POR-15 that I've been meaning to bust open, but with a wedding in two weeks, the time just hasn't been there. On the plus side, I'll probably be ordering my TT Ultimate setup this week! I've been getting the itch to go out again, but don't feel like screwing up as much as I did when I went out with you last.

POR is too temperamental for me. I'd rather go to bare metal, prime and paint instead of getting the IDEAL conditions for the POR.

It either sticks or it doesn't. I've heard lots of issues with it.

I think it went up more since the driver's bump stop appears to have been regularly contacting the control arm. Regardless, I am stoked!!

18's are very hard to find good tires for. The selection is lacking. Just ask [MENTION=65845]absolute yota[/MENTION] or [MENTION=165]momo.75[/MENTION] Pickins are slim

I think 18's are more of a burden than a blessing. I would personally stick with 17's because that extra sidewall will keep you from getting some rock rash and you will be less likely to dent your rims while aired down.

Actually there is a pretty big selection of tires for the 18's. It took me a while to narrow it down.

I think I have a decent amount of sidewall. Not as tall as yours, but I think mine sticks out further away from the rim. I was considering 275's, but not for offroading with 9" wide rims.

Its not really finding the size that's the issue , its getting any of the popular mud or aggressive all terrains that's the problem. Plus the high prices. Im thinking nitto trail graps next for my 18s as the falkens I run are great on road but I could use a little more grab in the mud .

I wish I could run 16's so I can get even more sidewall.

I like the extra reassurance, plus I would like to run 235 KM2's. I'm really into skinny tires now haha

Don't get them too skinny, looks weird. I saw a old F-150 with what looked like 33x5" tires. Real thin and tall, must drive like crap.

[MENTION=77955]jdkilroy[/MENTION] has some 235/xx/16's and they look awesome.

I think he has the P-rated side wall too, so it gives a clean ride on the highway. Not sure.

I like how my 255's ride and I think I'll stick with this tire size until I get regular sized rotors to run 16's (not gonna happen)
