New England B.S. Thread

I'm most likely going from 305's to 285's, maybe 295's.

Should be nice! I liked my 285's a lot

I'm interested in those wheels and nearly bald tires, minus the TPMS sensors. Even if they're a little banged up, I'll take em if we can work out a deal! I want some wide tires for snow wheeling and some skinnies for rocks

Wouldn't skinny tires with tread be better than wide tires with no tread in the snow?

Good point...

Only problem is my KM2's are NOT snow friendly. I hear they suck something fierce in snowy conditions. That means driving to CT or NH for wheeling is a no-go. I'll probably have to snow wheel with my 265/65/17 Bridgestone dueler 840's. At least snow wheeling doesn't really matter how much clearance you have.

Well if your driving on road in the snow, skinny should be better. If you're wheeling in some really deep stuff, I guess wider is better.

My current tires do pretty good in snow, better than stock, even with less tread.

They aren't siped though. Even in the rain I spin tires left and right under normal acceleration.

And Seth did really well with his stock tires last winter haha. As long as I air down I should be fine. I hate swapping wheels all the time. It hurts my back.

KM2s are ok in anything over 3" but on pavement with a dusting they suck.

You can buy a simple tire groover, like this one, and sipe them your self. Then they will be better on snowy-pavement.

To sipe with that groover, you just turn the blade around, so you cut 2 lines, instead of a v notch.

Or... I sipe my RC crawler tires with a razor blade? But I bet that wouldn't work too well on a full size. Haha

Haha cool. Yeah I looked on the map it's just a little bit of a detour pry add on a extra 20 -30 min to the trip.

I know a cool little spot in shrewsbury too that I went but didn't really get to explore It too much, it runs along some power lines
