I've been trolling this site for a while, when my wife decided she wanted a new 4runner. We are a toyota family, I have 2 tundras, a gen 1 AC 4X4 and a gen 2 Cewmax 4X4, as well as a 97 4runner with 140K miles.

Already started on her 18 TRD Offroad premium, barcelona red.

installed a dirtydeeds custom exhaust, asked for loudest he could make it, it was too raspy so he made a new one, a little quieter, maybe a bit to raspy, but better, She wanted it to sound like my big Tundra that dirtydeeds made, can't make a 6 cylinder sound like a big v8.

Added running boards. Bought TRD CAI, not installed yet.

MODS coming soon:
ICON Stage 2 0-3.5 lift (UCA included)
Black wheels with a negative offset for wide stance (maybe KMC Rockstar XD827 in Matte Black)
Nitto Ridge Grapplers, probably 285/75R17 or 285/70R17
Southern offroad low profile front bumper with LED bar installed
TRD PRO grill
Blackout emblems
Flat black hood stripe to cover the reflection on the scoop, may just cover scoop, but she's thinking a whole center hood stripe

Will be trolling more for pics as the modding goes on.

Wife wants a "blacked-out" BADA$$ rig, open to ideas, bear in mind it will almost NEVER go offroad, just a street princess

I almost ended up in az looking for 4runners. I was seeing they seemed cheaper down there then I realized they were 2wd.

Not being a smartass this is a legit question.

Why take a 2wd lift it and put large wheels on it. I'm from Mn so maybe that's the reason I'm confused. I was looking at 2wd thinking they were 4wd. Up here we lift the 4x4 and slam the 2x4.
