Speaking of which, I have been out of the loop. Is there a hidden winch mount for the 14+ yet like the one in the video. Would like to add the winch there without adding a steal bumper yet.

The problem is that Toyota doesn't offer any real bead lock wheels . The next best things you a real bead lock is a narrow wheel.

1. I need a good vehicle, drawer, suspension, refrigerator, bumper, etc.

2. Find a quality manufacturer of above and get them to give it to me free.

3. Find a quality installer to do the work.

3. Install stickers.



Determine the needs before modding was my point.

I understood what you were saying and was just making a joke about the situation. In my personal experiences whether it be sponsored vehicles, events or the brand partnerships/sponsorships/deals I work with on a daily basis, I understand it's never that easy and tends to usual come with some sort of strings or bs.

Kind of surprised they stuck with the stock front bumper... I bet that was a constraint Toyota put on them.

Makes sense, not much when you take off the front end to differentiate it from an older 5th gen.

Not trying to take anything away from @ Jetboy (actually it may be the same person I don't know) but not long ago there was a e-mail posted by a member for a guy that made a bracket for his Twin ARB mounted in that same spot. I went ahead and purchased the bracket for $110, black paint, shipped within a few days but I think he had already made a couple up while making the jig. Anyways just another option but I would have no issues going with [MENTION=118321]Jetboy[/MENTION] as seeing what he has done on his 4runner I am sure the work would be quality and price is inline with this option.

Edit: I somehow missed [MENTION=125603]bandi[/MENTION] post a page back, judging by the fact that that bracket looks identical I assume he is the contact for these. I only worked through e-mail so I didn't have a forum name before.

Another version change (for Engineer)....

A little more work converting to modular due to shipping restrictions (found that not even the priority mail large box will fit this) and for ease of tank installation...

There is a set of cross brackets if you have an ARB 1gallon air tank (run around $138), plus an option without the cross brackets for mounting the Viair 1gallon tank (run around $42) with shortening the mount foot by about an inch and drilling a few holes, I can do this for you (drop ship tank to me) when you decide the route you want to go, or you can do it (two cuts and 4 holes)...

Another request I had was the non-air tank version, however for his existing ARB single tank with optional mount locations and future ARB twin mount points...

Just watched the Alaska/Yukon episodes on youtube.

Amazing show. Got me all amped to dump my money into the 4runner. Can't wait for this season.

Was anyone else taking notes on their 4R builds like I was? They're really well thought out. They mentioned forgoing the aftermarket front bumper due to the "softer" look they were going for, but do you think it was due to lack of aftermarket support or being able to procure a bumper in time? I figured that would really complete the rig. Otherwise, I really like how this is going to be a trial by fire for what may become of any one of our rigs.

Pretty sure Toyota said: "Here's a couple free 4Runners to use. Don't mess with the front bumper."
I'll admit I was pretty surprised they didn't get a Land Cruiser or two. It's hard to argue that the Land Cruiser isn't a better vehicle for this type of task all around.
