Since most of the major systems on our Runner have been redone, I thought it's time to focus on the exterior of the truck. The old mud flaps were looking pretty tired, even though I attempted to clean, or revive them to no avail.
Warning here, I had to torch out 4 broken studs to install the new flaps. After being under there, I might replace the rear quarter bumper components, but we'll see. Everything looked corrosion free, except the quarter bumper ends. I've seen far worse though.
On a side note, for those having starting issues. The factory re-man starter I installed a few months back has made a "huge" difference in the starting of the truck. Clearly, the contacts in the unit were not designed properly, as the solenoid and gear drive were in perfect condition at 100k.
Hope everyone had a good Holiday.
regards
