New Falken AT tire (A/T3W)

I was dead set in the P series in 285 after the great success I’ve had with P265s I’m currently running, but...my friend sold me his KO2s in 285 C load right off his ‘18 Rubicon for $600 (including spare). I couldn’t say no but I’m a bit scared I’m not going to love them as much as I’ve loved these Falkens.

The P series has tackled the hardest off roading I’ve done of all my friends. I tow regularly. They’ve been absolutely flawless in every regard and I’ve loved every mile of them. Hoping I don’t regret my move to the KO2.

I think for most, P series will more than suffice unless you drastically air down and run them A LOT.

I’d love to hear how the C Load KO2 285’s are!

KO2s going on this week with the lift next week. I’ll post back because I think it’ll be a great honest comparison between the two since I’m one of the first to ride these amazing AT3Ws.

I’m usually stoked for new tires but man am I apprehensive this time around...these tires are THAT good.

This is very true, In pictures and from far away they don’t look much different then a regular tire. when ur close enough to see the raised letter, knobby side wall and thread they look awesome. These are my first AT tires but I’m impressed, great looks and very minimal noise.

Ordered four 265/70/17 from Tirebuyer- 512.87 with tax after 7% off coupon. Then there's the $70 rebate which essentially pays for the $68 total to mount. Going on my new TRD wheels Tuesday- can't wait. :zoom:

With the sun straight overhead the tires are shadowed and the bright white truck gives the camera fits too. A little later in the day and they should come out of hiding like mine did.

That looks amazing. That’s my plan, just not sure if I’m gonna do a corn feed spacer, 5100’s, the FJ TRD suspension or spring for Billstien 6112

Thanks! I just did a 1” cornfed spacer and no regrets. Will reassess once the struts and shocks wear out.

Got stock size mounted on TRD wheels today. Drove home in nasty rain, felt good, looked good!

I've been running my new Falken tires through the falken heavy rain all week and I can say these tires falken rock in the wet. I haven't been able to get them to slip or make the back end break loose yet. They aren't noisy at all and the ride is nice. Only 200 miles or so on them so it's early..

Just got them put on yesterday (in OEM size). They look AMAZING. I had the Dunlops on my 2016 TrailP and just couldn't take it anymore. My wife was like "we're pregnant with a third kid" and i knew right then i had to spend this money NOW.

Disclaimer - I didn't add that tire shine - I'm not sure if Firestone did that or if Falken shipped them like that. I'm not a huge fan of the shine - a matte black perhaps, but not shine on an SUV.

Firestone techs put that slop on, not Falken. I have to tell the service writer a bunch of times to not let the techs do that. I especially don't like how it makes the tire look brown as the slop ages.

I also bought a set in the stock size and beat them up pretty good on memorial weekend. I have to write a trip report but the tires did well even if I did manage to destroy the sidewall of one on some sharp rocks :tsk:
