New Falken AT tire (A/T3W)

Yeah, stock size fellas. Lemme snag some pics. It looks perfect for me with the spacers. It's a slightly more aggressive stance without adding the bulk and weight of the larger tires. If you guys wanna see any other pics let me know. These are the only ones I've taken apparently with the spacers.

Here is stock size P265/70r17 with aftermarket 8.5" wide wheels and 2.5" lift front and 1.5" rear.

Thanks! I was one of the early buyers of this tire and I've been trying to share my experience with everyone I know. The cost vs benefit of this tire is unreal. I don't think there's a better value out there. Period. While other tires are certainly good and capable, you won't get this much bang for your buck.

If the next 50,000 miles go as well as the first 10,000 I'll be buying these again.

FINALLY had a chance to give these tires a proper off-road run in. Before now it was pretty light stuff. Today I hit some more serious mud, sand, packed trail, and water routes and all I have to say is...daaaaaaaaaaamn!!! These tires performed better than I could have ever imagined.

I left my rig in 2wd and shut off traction control. Never once did I have to kick it into 4. I was sure I'd have to at least a few times but never found myself struggling to get through anything. I went a little easy since I was solo. I'll go harder next time to push the limits more. I know this is lame Illinois so please don't hate. I work with what I've got. Enough talk. Here's some trail porn...

Just got my Wildpeaks delivered and I'm stressing. I got the 285/70r17 to replace the OEM tires and they look huge when put side by side! Almost as if they'll never fit. I've got the Bilstein set at 1.75 in the front and 1 cornfed spacer in the rear and still kinda overwhelmed. I'm just waiting for the FN FX Pro wheels to arrive this weekend. I'm probably just pulling this out my a** but I'm hoping the wider design of the FN wheel helps these tires fit better on my 4Runner and avoid a lot of the issues guys are experiencing with wheel spacers such as rubbing. I really don't want to do any chopping to my vehicle or removing parts. I would have gone 275 but wildpeaks aren't made in this size yet. Thoughts?

I was too. I knew these ran bigger so thats why I didn't go 285. I wanted to wait until the 275s came out (I think I read somewhere in this thread that Falken was going to release them later this year) but the Ray 10s were sitting in my living room for two months.

It's funny, people keep asking me if they're 285s but I think its just because of the contrasting color of the wheel and faux-beadlock.

they look like 285s due to the width of your wheel. the wheel is pushing your tire outward making it sit wider.

Just got mine in 265/70/17. Hopefully I'll get to try them out soon. Wondering if I should have gone with the LTs though....Luckily I have 30 days to try them from Discount Tire. I recommend using Simpletire.com. That was where I found the cheapest price. If you live close to the distribution warehouse, you'd save on the added shipping cost which Discount Tire factors in.

Did you already have some type of lift on your 4Runner or is this all stock? Can't really tell from my phone. I've got the same color, I love it. Going with black wheels though.

Got the E Rated 285's installed on the Ray 10's. After reading the last couple of pages, I'd just like to add a few things. Someone mentioned that they couldn't find these tires on the Discount Tire Direct store with the "W", only the AT3. This tire is not made without the "W". It's the only way they come. When I ordered mine the listing didn't specifically say "W", only AT3. When they arrived they were in fact AT3W's. Also, the Discount Tire EBay store is free shipping. The other places I've seen online, if they were actually a few dollars cheaper, they charged $60-$100 for freight shipping. Lastly, if anyone wants to ask about how the E Rated 285's ride comapared to the P Rated (I've had both in this same tire and size), I can tell zero difference. This is coming from someone who has spent the last 10yrs driving lifted F250 diesel trucks. A lot of the minor little things that people on here complain about in ride quality go totally unnoticed by me. The 4Runner rides like a dream no matter the tires or PSI compared to a F250 with a 7" lift on 37" Toyo MT's.
