New From Cen Cal with Drifting Background!

Hey whats up guys? Recently picked up this 3rd Gen 4runner.

Its a 97Runner 4x4 with 199,xxx miles on it. This is my first 4wd and pretty stoked about it. With that being said I plan doing the major maintenance on it myself...
-Timing Belt & Waterpump
- Diff Service
-Transmission Flush (Dealer)

Future mods:
-2.5 Spacer lift with new shocks (Procomp or Bilstein)
-15x8 or 10 with 32" AT Tires.

Not going to crazy on this thing because its going to be my DD.

Any advice or suggestions appreciated.

But this is the real project.

welcome.... I think that you will find this site is more laid back then others.... less BS more people willing to help.
make sure to take lots of pictures of all the work being done, even simple things need good pictures documenting the work in threads to help people out....

Thank you for the tip. After some research I learned that a 15" would require caliper shaving.

So I think Im going to go with 16x8 with 4.00 backspacing I don't know how much it will stick out. I want a semi aggressive stance.

welcome, dont go with a spacer lift or procom anything lol... idk its just me but i look at it this way, for under $1000 you can have all brand new suspension from OME(ARB) -coils shocks ect and your 2" lift. it will ride like new look great and in a year you wont wish you had done a real lift, because you did do a real lift.

i love the G35/37 wheels on your silvia, nice to see one thats not all chopped up or stickered up with NOS stickers or APEX stickers.... clean and classy like a good:girl:

Might want to consider 16x7". Remember the farther they stick out, the more dirt they'll throw up onto the side of ur RNR. Then there is also Johnny Law to think about.
