Hey all! I have an '85 4runner SR5 that I have owned since 2004. It was my first car and I have made the necessary repairs as they came about but not too much more other than purchasing a retractable soft top for the summer. I owned a 2000 4Runner for about 2 years before it saved my life in a bad accident may it rest in peace. I was originally looking to find the 85 a new home with a true Toyota lover but I am getting some great ideas from everyone on here to fix my orange truck up myself!

Welcome aboard. Nice 4rnr! That's a pretty rare color. 85s are the most collectible of all 4rnrs. A true classic. I'd restore that to original and watch the value skyrocket! Start by finding an original rear bumper and removing any stickers. Good luck with that beauty. Keep it safe as there has been a surge of classic thefts.

hold on to that truck unless you have to get rid of it.....
what I mean by that is that it will run as long as you are willing to spend money. the fact that you have had it this long means you know just what has been done and what it needs.... that truck will always be cheaper then a car payment....
its a lovely looking rig...
