Wow
Your grease is wrong.
Your theory is wrong.
Your method of "repairing" Toyota axles is wrong.
Your "facts" are NOT.
And you just don't get it.
AND you're LIEING THROUGH YOUR TEETH to top it off.
No
Rix You dont get it you have been misinformed,
My method of servicing the Toyota axle is the same as Factory,
My Facts are Facts, yours are recommendations from the sales, dept,
How bout some facts about the Toyota pictured with semi fluid in the knuckle,
Over full 3rd member and level of grease below the axle seal
So again present some engineering facts, lubrication facts rather that personal attacks,
I know you cant, where not able to in the 6 plus months of deprogramming you underwent on the4x4network,
I even attempted to contact Toyota sales engineers to get them to comment on their obvious error in the FSM
Nothing,
Now in conversing with long time technical writers when obvious errors are in the recommendations of manufactures, or sales dept in this case they will simply omit the info, or use terms such as "Suitable Grease" (this is what the all data folks say)
So Rix, A #2 grease is not suitable for a CV joint, or @ least that is what NTN NSK and GKN go by
Now these Birfs are NTN they do not use a #2 grease for any other CV joint they build,
#2 grease comes from the Sales Dept of Toyota
As Well as a #0 recommendation for the steering link,
Ever used a #0 grease,,, Doubt it, ever seen a #0 grease
Sure you have, in the drain pans of the rigs your fixing for axle seal failure,,
Sales engineering @ its finest,
Dupe even the tech working on the rig,,,, So Rixxer continue to insult, call me a liar, but I understand nothing to back it up but a book written by Toyota Sales ....
